Location of Colony: Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de Jesús Victoria. Around the lower part of the Guadalupe River. South Eastern Texas.
Bodies of Water: Guadalupe River, Gulf of Mexico.
Major Cities: Present day Victoria, Texas. North East of Corpus Christi. To its North East is San Antonio.
Families: About 126 Mexican families with good moral character. Most of the families were Mexican.
Best Qualities: Fertile land, close to water, and away from most Indians.
Land For Each Family: Each family received a town lot, one league (4228 acres) of grazing land, and one labor (177 acres) for growing crops. Martin De Leon relieved 5 leagues.
Cost of Each Acre of Land: Around 12 cents. After Martin De Leon's death, the wealth of the colony was around $1 million.
